Kathleen Banfield
Professional Highlights
Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Emmanuel College and a Master of Public Administration from Old Dominion University.
Kathleen has held a variety of community-centered roles across philanthropic, educational, nonprofit, and start-up organizations, all with the goal of strengthening systems and partnerships that help all people thrive. Prior to joining AidKit, Kathleen served on the leadership team at Virginia Health Catalyst, a public health organization where she guided organizational strategy and worked across sectors to address issues related to water equity.
Kathleen’s past experience includes overseeing a multi-state region at Unite Us where she supported government, health care, and nonprofit partners with developing coordinated referral networks linking health and social care; leading community investments at United Way; and managing community-based programs focused on food justice and youth development.
Outside of Work
Kathleen enjoys all sorts of adventures with her wife and family from beach days to pool parties and community festivals. She is always on the hunt for tasty treats, enjoys cooking and baking, neighborhood walks with her two pups, and is working to unretire from playing soccer!
